Links Primary School

Links News - 13th October, 2023

Friday 13th October 2023

Dear Links Families,

It seems incredible that this time next week we will be breaking up for the October half term holiday. The weeks seem to have passed by very quickly.

This week the Year 1 children have visited Mitcham Library, Year 4 children visited New Wimbledon Theatre for a ‘Blues and Roots’ concert and some of our older children took part in the Merton Schools Cross Country Championships. They all represented Links really well.

We have also had two special visitors in school. Reverend Belemo came to talk to the children about Harvest Festival and then on Wednesday we had the exciting visit of the author Banji Alexander.

Thank you for your contributions to the Harvest collection, I know that your donations will be used well by the Wimbledon Foodbank.

Just a reminder that the school will close for half term on Friday 20th of October, finishing at the normal time. School will reopen on Monday 30th October to all children.

The children have continued to work hard this week and thank you, as always, for supporting your children in their learning. We continue to post pictures of the children’s learning throughout the week. You can find these on the school’s X account (formerly Twitter), search for @LinksSchool or click on the twitter bird icon, on the school website.
