Links News
Friday 17th October 2025
Dear Links Families,
Today, we proudly took part in Show Racism the Red Card by wearing red to school. It serves as a vibrant reminder of our commitment to tackling racism in all its forms. Last year, thanks to the scheme of work from Sheffield Hallam SCITT, we engaged our children in meaningful conversations about anti-racism.
Our effort doesn’t stop there; our work on this important issue continues through our PSHE lessons and assemblies. By incorporating anti-racism discussions into our daily activities, we aim to foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.
It’s important to acknowledge that we have encountered some incidents of racism in the past, primarily related to language used. While we can work hard to prevent racism from creeping in, it’s crucial that we also address it when it does occur. We believe in calling it out for what it is and using these moments as opportunities for education.
Together, we can equip our children with the understanding and empathy needed to build a community that stands against racism. Thank you for your continued support in this vital work!

To all our families celebrating the festival of Diwali on Monday. May this Festival of Lights bring warmth, prosperity, and happiness. Happy Diwali!
