Links News
Friday 22nd November, 2024
Dear Links Families,
Despite not getting out and about this week, it has been another busy week in school with lots of learning taking place and lots of visitors too. The Heads of School were extremely proud to show off the school to our Merton Education Partners on Tuesday. Three advisors from Merton came in to speak to the Heads and have a tour of the school. They were very impressed with the way the school looks and the lovely calm but productive atmosphere they saw as they walked around the school. All the classes were busy and the children they spoke to were able to explain their learning confidently. PC Howler also visited Year 6 this afternoon and talked to them about the age of responsibility, different types of theft and when to call 999.
Parents’ evening
It was lovely to welcome you all into school to speak to teachers about your children. We always love talking to you about your child’s learning and what they are doing in school. Thank you for taking the time to come into school to meet with the teachers, if for some reason you could not make the meeting please speak to the class teacher to arrange a meeting that is convenient for you both.
Parent Workshop - Managing Emotions Using Zones of Regulation
This afternoon we held our first parent workshop for Managing Zones of Regulation. It was a very informative and interesting session. The feedback from this session was very positive. We will be holding more parent workshops within the year.
Book Fair
Next week, we will be hosting our first book fair of the term. This is always a great opportunity to buy a book for Christmas or half term reading. The book fair will be in the bottom floor hall, after school.
A parentmail went out this afternoon with more information.
