A message from the Executive Headteacher
We’ve now come to the end of the fifth half term of the school year and we are about to start the final leg of the year. The vast majority of our children have continued to work hard and represent the school really well. Once again I would say thank you to you for the way you support the school in achieving this.
It’s been a busy half term and I particularly want to congratulate the Year 6 children for the sensible and mature way they approached their SATs last week. Whatever the outcomes will be, I know that the children did their very best and that’s all we can ask of them. I also had the pleasure of accompanying them to the Imperial War Museum yesterday where they represented Links beautifully.
We’ve continued to work hard on developing children’s writing and we recently had our first ‘Eye of the Writer’ assembly, and we are putting the finishing touches to our new ‘Writing Gallery’ which will allow children to showcase their writing for all to see.
Once again I would like to extend my thanks to Mrs Anderson and Mrs Murray who continue to provide excellent leadership for the whole school community at Links. I am sure you will join me in thanking them for their hard work and commitment.
I hope you and your families have a good half term break and look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 4th June.
Mr Roughley

Parent Champions
Needed - Parent Champions
Are you available to translate for other parents?
Did you know that there are 31 different languages spoken at Links Primary School?
We pride ourselves on having such a diverse and multicultural community, but we need your help. Some of our families have very little English and struggle to communicate with teachers. This can sometimes lead to miscommunication and feelings of isolation. With more and more new families joining the Links community, we are looking for some Parent Champions; parents who can support other parents with translating.
If you think you could help please fill in this form - Links Parent Champions.
Thank you as always for supporting the Links Community.
