Links News - 28th March 2024

An end of term message from the Executive Headteacher

I hope that you and your families are well at this time. It feels like the end of term has come around very quickly once again but I wanted to just write to you to thank you for your support for the school this term.

I continue to be impressed by the children at Links and the way that the vast majority work hard, behave well and represent the school amazingly well. One of the highlights of my week is to attend Mrs Anderson’s Friday morning assembly where the achievements of the children are acknowledged. It’s a truly uplifting experience and the children clearly enjoy celebrating each other’s successes.

There have been many highlights this term, but the one that sticks in my mind is when our Year 5 children took part in the Merton Music Foundation concert at the Royal Albert Hall. It was a fabulous experience, one which I am sure the children will remember for a long time to come.

As ever, I’d like to thank the staff on your behalf for their hard work and commitment, to the children at Links and in particular Mrs Murray and Mrs Anderson who continue to lead the school superbly with great skill and commitment.

I do hope you all have a good break and we look forward to seeing you all next term.

Thank You

Dear Links Families,

As we come to the end of the term, we wanted to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the children's remarkable resilience and positive attitude towards learning. Throughout this term, your children have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their studies, facing challenges with determination and a smile on their faces. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement at home, which undoubtedly contributes to their success. Wishing you all a wonderful break filled with joy and relaxation.

Just a reminder that school will reopen to all children on Monday 15th April 2024.

Easter Raffle and Tombola

This morning in assembly, we drew the Easter Raffle. The hall was full of excitement and anticipation. All winners have received a parentmail notification. After school today, the hall was full of children (and parents), with arms full of Easter treats. Thank you to our wonderful PTA for organising the tombola and raffle. We and the Links community really appreciate your support.

If you would like to join the PTA, drop them an email or keep an eye out for dates of their next meeting - ptalinksprimary@gmail.com
