Friday 3rd May 2024
Dear Links Families,
This week has been a little arty! I have seen lots of clay models taking form, from flowers to animals and polar bears. Year 5 has been printing and Year 3 has been doing photography. Our Reception classes visited the Polka Theatre to watch a performance of Skydiver. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful theatre nearby. They have lots of shows on offer throughout the year and at an affordable price. We are always so grateful to the Polka Theatre, who regularly include Links Primary in their free ticket scheme. We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who helped on this trip, previous trips and future trips! Our children would not be able to attend all these wonderful experiences without your volunteering. We are so grateful and proud of the Links Community!
Reminder - School Uniform
We know many of you are super organised and are thinking about uniform for next year. Here is the link to the school website with a reminder of our uniform. https://www.links.merton.sch.uk/Parents/Uniform/
Just a reminder that from September 2024, the yellow polo shirt will no longer be part of the Links uniform. All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be wearing a white polo shirt.
If you have any questions, come see us at the school gate or just ask the school office.
PTA Update
Today a Parentmail was sent out on behalf of our PTA, with dates of all the events happening this term. We are very excited by the cake sale, discos, legoland tickets and summer social in July.
Just a reminder that the Bag2School collection is next Friday (10th May).
If you've had a spring clean and have bags of clothes waiting to go to the charity shop, please bring them into school any morning between the 6th and 10th of May and we can help turn your old clothes into money for Links School.
Members of the PTA team will be at the school gates every morning from 6th to 10th May to take your bags of clothes, paired shoes, bags, belts (please note no uniforms, bedding or workwear can be accepted). It's an easy way to save you a trip to the charity shop and raise money for the school at the same time.
If you have any questions please email the PTA team on: PTALinksPrimary@gmail.com
