Welcome Back to School!
We are so delighted to welcome all our children and families back for a brand-new school year! The classrooms are buzzing with excitement, and we can already tell it’s going to be a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of new adventures. Our staff are thrilled to be working alongside the children as they grow in confidence, curiosity, and creativity.
This first week has been fantastic. The children have settled back into school life quickly, picking up routines with ease. Even with the wet playtimes, they showed great adaptability—finding fun, calm, and creative ways to enjoy their time indoors. It’s been wonderful to see their resilience and positive attitudes shining through.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new pupils and their family to Links, we hope that you will be very happy at Links and we encourage you to be part of our community and join us for all of the exciting events happening this year.
We would also like to welcome new staff members who, after a week feel like they have been here forever. We are so pleased to introduce you to Miss Cicero, Miss Lancaster and Miss Rodriguez. Who are excited to join the team and get to know you all a little better.
My name is Miss Rodriguez and I am very excited to be teaching Year 2 at Links Primary School. I am originally from Spain, but I have been living in London for over ten years, working as a teacher throughout that time. Most recently, I taught in a school in North London before deciding to move south to be closer to my friends and family. In my free time, I love reading, dancing, travelling and whenever I can, I go back to Spain to see my family. My first week here has been wonderful. I've loved getting to know my new class and meeting the rest of the staff. Everyone has been so welcoming and I can't wait to see all the fun exciting things this year will bring!
Hello everyone, I'm Miss Lancaster and I can't wait to hopefully meet you all at some point. I was born here in London but grew up in South Devon in the countryside. In my free time, I love exploring the city I now call home - whether that's strolling through the parks, visiting museums and galleries, browsing the markets or catching up with friends and family. After completing my degree in Primary Education, I moved to Spain where I spent 4 years working in an international school. I then returned to the UK and moved to London and worked as a cover teacher. This was when I discovered Links Primary School. I'm so pleased to be part of the Links community, everyone is so kind and welcoming. My favourite subject is Maths and I love anything to do with numbers! I aim to create a classroom where everyone feels excited to come to school and I can't wait to get stuck into the learning with my new lovely Year 4 class.
My name is Miss Cicero, and I’m so excited to be teaching in Year 5 at Links Primary School this year. I’m originally from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton and recently made the move to London. I studied teaching in Bristol and spent time working in a variety of schools, gaining lots of experience with different age groups and learning styles. I have a real passion for teaching subjects like history and geography. I also enjoy sharing new books with the class and watching stories spark imagination and discussion. When I’m not in the classroom, I love travelling and exploring new places, going to the theatre, reading, and heading out on long dog walks. I’m really looking forward to seeing the children grow in confidence and skills this year. I’m excited to plan fun and engaging lessons and build strong relationships across the school.
Next week, we are excited to welcome our new sports coach, Mia. Coach Mia will be joined by Coach Poppy next week, while she gets to know Links.
