Harvest

Today we welcomed Rev. Belemo from St. Paul’s Church to assembly. She spoke to the children about the meaning of harvest. Thank you so much for all of the donations that have been sent in so far; we have extended the collection period to Monday, so if you would like to make a donation, please bring it to the school office.

Mufti Day

Next Friday, 14th October, the children may come to school in their own clothes. If you are able to, we welcome donations of up to £1 which will go to the PTA to fund new resources for the children to use.

All About Us

Hello! I am Miss Eades-Jones and this is my second year at Links. I love teaching and this is my 6th year now. Before I taught, I lived in Australia for a little while. I enjoy travelling and going to new and exciting places at the weekend. Reading, going to concerts and going on long walks are also some of my favourite things to do when I’m not at school.

Trip Volunteers

We have lots of exciting educational visits coming up this term and we are always looking for parent volunteers to help out. Lots of you have already completed the form to let us know when you might be available to help out, but if you haven’t and may be able to help, please complete this form.

Phonics Workshop

Earlier this week, Mrs. Anderson held a phonics workshop for Reception parents. I know that they all found it useful to help them support their children with their phonics learning. Here is the link to the presentation. Watch this space for more parent workshops coming soon.

PTA Sponsored Read

You may remember that last year the PTA held a sponsored read which raised around £1,000 for us to spend on books to add to our class libraries. The books have now arrived in school and are being distributed to the classrooms. Thank you so much to everyone who took part and to the PTA for organising this. Reading is so important and these beautiful new books will really help the children to pursue a love of reading.

Have a great weekend.
