Links News
Friday 13th December, 2024
`
Dear Links Families,
This week, we welcomed lots of princes, princesses, knights, jesters and even dragons to a royal banquet. Our year 1 children have been learning about castles and to celebrate all their learning add a dress up day. We saw lots of tiaras, sparkles and crowns.
In this week and assembly, we were treated to a performance by our key stage one and key stage two choir. It was wonderful to watch and a big thank you to Mrs Plackett and Miss Eases-Jones for putting it together. Choir will start again after February half term and there are lots of spaces available to join in the fun.
Today we welcomed our nursery and reception parents to our first ever Christmas Arts and Crafts event. The children and their parents enjoyed completing lots of activities together and the children surprised their grown ups, with a beautiful song.
Today, Year 5 braved the cold and went to visit The Natural History Museum, as part of their topic Earthquakes. They enjoyed using the knowledge they have learnt in class and most of all experiencing the earthquake simulator.
End of term arrangements
The school will close on Friday 20th December at 2pm and we will reopen on Monday 6th January to all children.

A Reminder - My Child at School App

Exciting news! We have a new way of keeping in contact with you.
MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) is an online portal for parents that enables you to view your child's performance at school in real-time via the web. The facility allows you to book clubs, trips and wraparound care, choose dinners and access your child's timetable, attendance and reports whenever you wish.
Parents can access MCAS via the website or can use the MCAS App which can be downloaded from the app/play store. Just use the email address that we have at school for you to register.
- MCAS Parent Guide
- See other Parent MCAS articles HERE.
From January 2025 all communication will be sent via My Child at School. We encourage you to download the app to ensure you do not miss any announcements. From February half term, we will no longer be using Parentpay, this will be accessed by the app also.
