Links Primary School

Links News - Friday 19th July 2024

Dear Links Families,

It has been a whirlwind of excitement here at Links, this week. Our Year 6 children performed an amazing performance, it was literally ‘The Greatest Show’! Our Nursery and Reception children performed their topic sing song, it was lovely to see how much the Early Years children have grown in the past 11 months. Our Year 3 children explored nature at Furzedown Rec and our Year 4 children created some observational drawings on Tooting Bec Common. Our Year 1 children made fruit kebabs and to end their topic, our Year 2 children had a pirate party.  Not forgetting our Year 6 children who have just visited the London Eye and Thames Riverboat Cruise.

As the weather has finally turned sunny, please remember to dress your children appropriately. Wear a hat, take off ties and jumpers. Bring a water bottle to school and apply sun cream before coming to school.

Next Wednesday (24th July) will be the last day of school, school finishes at 1:30pm.

On Wednesday we will be having a whole school picnic. Caterlink, our school meal provider, will provide a packed lunch for all children. However, if you want to provide your child with their own packed lunch from home, you are welcome to do so. If you have a picnic blanket home, please send your child into school with it on Wednesday morning, for them and their class to use at the picnic. Please ensure all children bring a water bottle into school, as this will be used at the picnic.
