Links News- Friday 19th May 2023
Dear Links families,
I hope you and your families are well and looking forward to what promises to be a sunny weekend. It's been great to have a full week with the children after having a few shortened weeks recently.
The children have been working hard as usual, with Year 2 children in particular who have been taking their Key Stage 1 tests. For your information this is the last time that Year 2 children will be taking these tests.
Half Term Holiday
The school will break up next Friday (26th May) and the children will return to school on Tuesday 6th June.
As you are aware Monday 5th June is a Staff Training Day and school will be closed to all pupils.
Sports Day
Just a reminder that this year’s sports day will take place on Thursday 15th June. This will now be a whole day activity from approximately 10am until 2pm. The PTA will be selling refreshments on the day.
PTA -Sponsored Readathon
In assembly today we gave out lots of certificates, to children who took park in the Ready Steady Read fundraising readathon. A special mention to Polly (Yr R), Beatrix (Yr 1), Harriet (Yr 2), Elsa (Yr 3) and Fynn (Yr 5), who have won a £10 voucher to spend on Usborne Book, for doing the most reading.
Links Values
This week’s Links Value Awards are awarded to Eva M (RP) and Joel (1P) for showing great resilience. Well done for demonstrating the Links Values.
