An end of term message from the Executive Headteacher.
I am writing at the end of a week where I have been very fortunate to attend a number of Christmas concerts, services and performances. It is most definitely one of the perks of my current role that I get to experience these wonderful occasions in three different schools. I have been hugely impressed by the talents that your children have displayed and equally by the hard work and commitment shown by all the staff members involved.
It’s been a busy term in school but I want to say a big thank you to all of you as parents who support the school in ensuring that your children attend well, are in school on time each day, and are ready to learn. We couldn’t do any of the things we do without your support. Thank you.
I am very proud to be part of Links Primary School and I count myself very privileged to be able to work with Mrs Anderson and Mrs Murray on a daily basis. They lead the school superbly and are hugely committed to making sure that your children have a great experience at school and doing all they can to support children and families where from time to time, things may not be going so well.
On your behalf, I would like to thank the staff for the great work they do, and for the occasions that they go the extra mile for the children in their class. I know that they have very much earned a well deserved break.
Finally, I would like to wish you and your families a great Christmas break and I look forward to seeing you all in 2025.
Mr Roughley
Dear Links Families,
Echoing Mr Roughley’s words above, Links has been a hive of productions this week. Starting with the Performing Arts Club showcasing Oliver, The Year 1 Nativity retelling and the Year 3 panto ‘Snow White’. We are so proud of all of the children at Links and of the hard work they have produced this term. However, none of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the Links Team, for which we thank them.
As we say goodbye to the Autumn term, we are also saying goodbye to Mr Grace and Miss Wood. We have been so fortunate to have had them as part of our school community and we wish them both the very best in their new adventures. They have both promised to visit us and perhaps join us for one of our amazing shows. But, as we welcome the spring term, we will also be welcoming Miss Samuel and Miss Kowalski to the Links Family.
Just a reminder that school will reopen on Monday 6th January for all children and to our families celebrating Christmas, we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the new year.
Natalie, Vicki and The Links Team
Out with the old and in with the new
From January 2025 all communication will be sent via My Child at School. We encourage you to download the app to ensure you do not miss any announcements. From February half term, we will no longer be using Parentpay, this will be accessed by the app also.
MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) is an online portal for parents that enables you to view your child's performance at school in real-time via the web. The facility allows you to book clubs, trips and wraparound care, choose dinners and access your child's timetable, attendance and reports whenever you wish.
Parents can access MCAS via the website or can use the MCAS App which can be downloaded from the app/play store. Just use the email address that we have at school for you to register.
