Dear Links Families,

I hope you and your family were able to have a good half term break and that you haven’t been too affected by the adverse weather conditions in the last couple of days. The children have returned to school in a positive way and I continue to be impressed by how friendly, polite and caring the vast majority of our children are. They are a credit to you as parents and carers and I thank you for the way you work with the school to support your child’s learning and development.

It will surely be another busy half term as we lead up to Christmas with all the exciting events that this brings. Please keep an eye on Links news over the next few weeks for details of all our Christmas events.

Just a reminder that the school will be closed on Friday 24th November, for a staff INSET day.

Parents Evening

Next week we will be hosting our first parents evening for this academic year. These will be on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th November. There are in-person and video call appointments available. Please go to https://linksmerton.schoolcloud.co.uk/ to book your appointment.

Bags2Schools

Don't forget that next week the PTA are raising money by collecting any unwanted men’s, ladies’ & children’s clothing, paired shoes, handbags, belts & accessories as part of Bag2School. So you can clear out your clutter and raise much needed funds for the school at the same time!

You can drop donations at the school gates any morning next week. Please make sure the clothes are in good condition and are in bags. Uniforms, workwear, pillows, duvets or pieces of fabric are not accepted so please don't bring them.

All donations need to be dropped off by 9am on Friday 17th November 2023.

Children In Need

This term we will be fundraising for the charity Children in Need on Friday 17th November. The theme is ‘be Spotacular!’ We are asking the children to come to school wearing anything spotty and to donate £1.
