Links News

6th December, 2024

Dear Links Families,

We are getting ready to welcome you all to our Christmas Fair today 3:30-5:00 pm. Be sure to listen out to our choir who will be singing at 4pm as well as Santa, who will be making a visit. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

This week, our year 2 pupils visited Deen City Farm to take part in the retelling of the nativity, with real life animals. This was such a lovely experience and we thank Deen City Farm for inviting us.

Year 6 have been out on 2 educational visits this week. The first on a River Wandle walk, linking to their topic on rivers and yesterday to the Southbank to watch the Lollies Awards, which are the ‘Laugh Out Loud’ Book Awards (the Lollies) celebrates the best and funniest children’s books in the UK and Ireland, voted for by children.

All of the children came back with a goodie bag of books. We would like to thank scholastic for inviting us and Mrs Plackett for organising it.

Again, we would like to thank all of our parent helpers for volunteering their time to support these visits. Without your support these amazing learning opportunities would not be possible.

My Child at School App

Exciting news! We have a new way of keeping in contact with you.

MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) is an online portal for parents that enables you to view your child's performance at school in real-time via the web. The facility allows you to book clubs, trips and wraparound care, choose dinners and access your child's timetable, attendance and reports whenever you wish.

Parents can access MCAS via the website or can use the MCAS App which can be downloaded from the app/play store. Just use the email address that we have at school for you to register.

From January 2025 all communication will be sent via My Child at School. We encourage you to download the app to ensure you do not miss any announcements. From February half term, we will no longer be using Parentpay, this will be accessed by the app also.
