Links Primary School

SEND Processes at Links

At Links Primary School, we track the progress and development of all children closely. We identify children that may need additional help or have special educational needs through our termly pupil progress meetings where every child’s progress is discussed. If a child is not making progress and is struggling they are added to our monitoring list. If they continue to struggle and  if a special need is identified then the child’s name is placed on the Special Needs Register and arrangements made for specific targeted support. A meeting will take place with parents/carers, the class teacher and the SENCo.  A SEN Support plan is created which includes targets for improvement, identifies the help required and who will provide it. Progress against the SEN support targets is carefully monitored and parents are kept fully informed.
